Invest with peace of mind regardless of market conditions*

Global economies have enjoyed strong growth since 2002, translating into good returns in the equity markets. Over the past year, global markets have established multi-year highs and investors have grown accustomed to reaping high returns, which have bred complacency in risk taking. However the US credit market fall out, China and Hong Kong Bourses hitting new highs and a US economic slowdown have resulted in the markets becoming uncertain and starting to pull back from their lofty levels.

It has become a challenge to produce good investment returns while not taking on excessive risk. Therefore a strategy that is independent of overall market direction fits right into the current market situation.

This unique fund offers investors an opportunity to continue making consistent returns and receiving potential regular payouts regardless of the market direction. It provides a diversification tool for investors who are unsure of the direction of the market.

 Attractive Annual Payouts*

The AllianzGI Choice Equity Fund aims to provide potential annual payouts of 7%* of Fund NAV.

Reap Potential Returns Through A Unique Strategy Regardless Of Market Trends

The AllainzGI Choice Equity Fund derives its returns through a unique Long-Short Strategy that "long"(buy) the undervalued stocks and "short"(sell) the overvalued stocks in the same sector or industry. "Long" refers to buying of an undervalued stock, holding it until it hits the higher target price, then selling off the stock. "Short" refers to selling an overvalued stock and buying back when it hits the lower target price. The total return is determined by the relative performance of each paired long-short positions and not market direction.

 Stable & Resilient Performance

The AllianzGI Choice Equity Fund has low correlation to traditional asset classes like equities or bonds. Graph 13 is an illustration of the Long-Short Strategy. The graph shows that during volatile markets (period A, B & C), the Long-Short Strategy has demonstrated its ability to deliver stable and resilient performance regardless of market directions, while S & P 500 Index has shown significantly higher level of volatility over the same period.
